The short answer is no. Definitely not. Unless you want to be refilling it every time and have the cleaning job from HELL to contend with.


Due to the di-electrophoretic effect in the water, there can be a lot of precipitation that emerges and makes a bit of a mess. This looks terrible but is actually one of the processes that is required to make the device work. For more information on this, see the science section.


Plus if it gets into the jets it can be a pain to get out.
